Archaeologists have found more than 300 sculpted spheres made of gabbro, an igneous stone, in Costa Rica. They are called the Stone Spheres of the Diquis, for the Diquis people believed to have created them. Small ones are only a few inches across, but the largest ones are more than 6 feet across.
