I was a career teacher, and my heart is still in the classroom, even though I’m retired now. I’ve taught in 11 different schools under 16 different principals and with hundreds of colleagues. I did all the professional things – published articles, won grants, presented at local, state, and national conferences, mentored student teachers, embraced technology, and trained others to use it. And graded papers. Lots and lots of papers.
It’s the thousands of students, my closest colleagues, and one or two administrators who made it rewarding. My thanks to every one of them.
